Plastic Free Cotton Ear Buds
Is it symbolism or is it really good for the environment. From 2021 onwards, plastic items such as plastic cutlery, straws, balloon holders or cotton swabs with a plastic handle will be banned in the EU.
A few years ago, my wife had the unpleasant experience when the cotton swab came loose from the plastic stick in her ear. It was on a weekend and the cotton was stuck in her ear, so we had to go to the emergency room to get it removed.
Since then we have have been using only cotton swabs without plastic. With the cardboard or bamboo sticks, the cotton is attached more securely than on the plastic sticks.
